A Christmas to Remember Christian Centre

A Brief History

Operation Rudolph is a project that delivers outstandingly good hampers to disadvantaged families and individuals in Nottingham at Christmas.

The campaign was inspired by a project from across the Atlantic - called 'The Basket Brigade.' Each year, this charity appeal - which was founded by Tony Robbins - provides for some 500,000 people. When we heard about the difference it made, we decided we had to do something!

Since its launch in 2002, Operation Rudolph has delivered more than 7800 hampers - with a combined value in the region of £500,000.

The hampers are primarily distributed to families and also the elderly. Among others, we work with Social Services, local charities, refugee agencies and women's refuges to ensure that those facing a tough or lonely Christmas receive a hamper.

The hampers themselves contain more than just quality food. Last year's hampers, for example, included tickets for a Notts County football match - giving recipients an experience to remember.

It takes hundreds of volunteers and the generosity of hundreds of individuals and businesses to make Operation Rudolph work.
