This Year's Campaign
If history is anything to go by, Operation Rudolph will improve yet again in 2011. We hope to raise the bar yet higher in terms of the quality and excellence of the hampers and aim to distribute them to about 1000 homes in the city.
Three quarters of the hampers will be given to disadvantaged families, one quarter to individuals and the elderly - each will create memories.
The aims and values of Operation Rudolph remain the same:
To identify greatest needs - In partnership with Social Services, Family Centres, voluntary organisations and other churches, we identify families and individuals in the city who are facing real poverty.
To give extravagantly - We encourage individuals and businesses to donate generously so that we can bless families with an extravagant gift. Last year the majority of hampers were worth in the region of 60 pounds each!
To deliver personally - We also ask individuals to give generously of their time so that they can personally deliver hampers to the identified families.
For the seventh year running each hamper will contain a handwritten Christmas card.
